During my recent trip to Kobe, I had the pleasure of staying at the charming Toyofuku Inn, a hidden gem conveniently located just a 10-minute stroll from Motomachi and a stone's throw from Chinatown. The welcome I received was genuinely warm, with the lovely lady in charge using her translation app to bridge our language gap-she made sure I felt right at home. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring homemade katsuobushi flakes that paired perfectly with a traditional washoku set-every bite was a delight! The simplicity of my tatami-floored room added to the authenticity of my experience, and the air-conditioned comfort was a welcome respite after exploring the vibrant streets of Kobe. I truly appreciated the small touches like complimentary green tea and a kettle in my room, perfect for winding down after a day of adventure. If you're in the market for a peaceful retreat with a taste of traditional Japanese hospitality, I highly recommend Toyofuku Inn-it's where comfort meets cultural immersion!
